mateusz Matras’ 100 league games

on 18 September, the PGE FKS Stal Mielec team will play a match against the Zagłębie Lubin team as part of the 8th PKO BP Ekstraklasa round. The meeting played on Monday evening will be particularly special for one of our players. Mateusz Matras will play his 100th league match in the white and blue colours of PGE FKS Stal Mielec.

Mateusz Matras was born on 23 January 1991 in Ornontowice. He is an alumni of Gwarek Ornontowice, with whom he was promoted to the fourth league in 2008. In 2010 he moved to the then premier league Piasta Gliwice, where he made his debut on 11 September. After two years at Piast, he celebrated promotion to the Ekstraklasa with them. In 2014, he moved to Pogoń Szczecin, from where he joined Lechia Gdańsk in 2017. on 26 February 2018, he became a player for Zagłębie Lubin, where he was loaned to Górnik Zabrze on 14 January 2019. Mateusz Matras joined the PGE FKS Stali Mielec team on 20 August 2020.

Last season he appeared in 31 PKO BP Ekstraklasa matches, recording two goals and 3 assists. Mateusz is a pillar of our defensive line and has featured in all PGE FKS Stali Mielec matches this season.

As a token of gratitude for representing the blue and white colours of PGE FKS Stal Mielec in 100 league matches, the President of the Management Board of FKS Stal Mielec S.A., Jacek Klimek, and the Marketing and Communications Director, Damian Gąsiewski, presented Mateusz Matras with a commemorative trophy and a T-shirt.
