Yesterday’s football escort was organised in collaboration with the Mam Marzenie Foundation.
The Mam Marzenie Foundation, together with Betclic 1 Liga, have organised a unique charity action called ‘Gramy o Marzenie’. During the sixteen September matches in stadiums across Poland, fans will be able to support the dreams of seriously ill children – wards of the Foundation – coming true. Each fan means PLN 1 to make children’s dreams come true! During yesterday’s match we particularly supported 16-year-old Filip.
Green Zones – a place of joy and education
The stadium featured a Green Dream Zone where fans, families and children could:
- take part in family games and activities,
- have their faces painted and make colourful balloons,
- take souvenir photos with the volunteers,
- learn more about the Foundation’s activities and how to help.
In addition, a special prevention booklet was available, prepared on the occasion of the Dream Day, so that parents can learn about early detection of cancer in children.
The mission of the Mam Marzenie Foundation is to make dreams come true for children aged 3-18 suffering from life-threatening diseases. Through its activities, the Foundation wants to provide sick children and their families with unforgettable experiences, which will allow them to forget about their suffering at least for a while, bring joy into their lives, strength to fight the illness and hope for the future.
The Mam Marzenie Foundation was established in Krakow on 14 June 2003 as an independent and autonomous organisation consisting exclusively of volunteers.
The Foundation started its activities in February 2004 in Krakow, Warsaw and Poznan. Since 2007, it has been operating throughout Poland and currently has 16 branches: Białystok, Bydgoszcz, Gorzów Wielkopolski, Katowice, Kielce, Kraków, Lublin, Łódź, Olsztyn, Opole, Poznań, Rzeszów, Szczecin, Tricity, Warsaw and Wrocław.
From the beginning until today, the volunteers of the Mam Marzenie Foundation have fulfilled more than 10,600 dreams of sick children.
