Cracovia – PGE FKS Stal Mielec [2:1]

on 17 February at 18:00 our team played a match as part of the 21st PKO BP Ekstraklasa round. In the away match we faced the Cracovia team.

For the meeting inaugurating the 21st round of PKO BP Ekstraklasa, the coach of PGE FKS Stal Mielec- Adam Majewski decided to field the following players: Bartosz Mrozek, Krystian Getinger, Marcin Flis, Mateusz Matras, Kamil Kruk, Maciej Wolski, Mateusz Mak, Kokie Hinokio, Alex Vallejo, Bartłomiej Ciepiela and Rauno Sappinen. On the substitutes’ bench were Mateusz Kochalski, Fryderyk Gerbowski, Adam Ratajczyk, Mikołaj Lebedyński, Fabian Hiszpański, Leandro Messias dos Santos, Maciej Domański, Arkadiusz Kasperkiewicz and Konrad Guca.

Cracovia’s starting line-up included: Karol Niemczycki, Cornel Râpă, Michal Sipľak, Virgil Ghita, Jani Atanasov, Benjamin Källman, Michał Rakoczy, Takuto Oshima, Jakub Jugas, Patryk Makuch, David Jablonsky. On the reserve bench were: Lukas Hirosso, Paweł Jaroszyński, Yevgen Konoplyanka, Mateusz Bochniak, Karol Knap, Kacper Śmiglewski, Arttu Hoskonen, Otar Kakabadze and Kacper Jodłowski.

The first strike on the Krakow team’s goal was scored by Mateusz Mak as early as
in the 45th second of the meeting. From the start, both teams played an open game
and in the 5th minute of the match, Bartosz Mrozek’s goal was threatened by Benjamin Källman. Fortunately for our team, his shot was off target. Just 3 minutes later, Michal Rakoczy had another opportunity to score, but his shot was also off target. the 12th minute of the meeting saw a very good action by our team on the left side of the pitch, but the ball was knocked out of Cracovia’s penalty area after Bartłomiej Ciepiela’s pass.
In the 17th minute of the match, the goalkeeper of the team from Cracovia, going outside the penalty area, fouled our captain, for which the arbiter decided to punish him with a yellow card. Another yellow card, this time for the Steel team in the 23rd minute of the match was given to Kōki Hinokio. the 28th minute of the match brought a corner kick for Cracovia, during which Kamil Kruk and Jakub Jugas collided dangerously with their heads, causing both players to require medical attention. In the 37th minute of the match, the hosts’ goalkeeper had to pull the ball out of the net, and Kōki Hinokio scored after an assist from Mateusz Mak. In added time, Marin Flis received a yellow card. After the first half, the scoreboard read 0:1.

Before the start of the second half, coach Jacek Zieliński decided to make three changes to his team. Cornel Râpă, Benjamin Källman and Jakub Jugas left the pitch, and were replaced by Arttu Hoskonen, Otar Kakabadze and Yevgen Konoplyanka. Unfortunately, already in the 47th minute of the match a goal for the team from Kraków was scored by Otar Kakabadze after an assist from Yevgen Konoplyanka. The first quarter of the second part of the match was dominated by the team of coach Jacek Zielinski, but the result of the meeting did not change. The following minutes of the match did not bring any change in the result
and in the 72nd minute, PGE FKS Stali Mielec coach Adam Majewski decided on a triple change. Rauno Sappinen, Mateusz Mak and Bartłomiej Ciepiela left the pitch, and Mikołaj Lebedyński, Adam Ratajczyk and Maciej Domański got their chance. 5 minutes later there was a change in the Cracovia team and Paweł Jaroszyńki joined the pitch
in place of Michal Siplak. Adam Majewski decided to make one more change and in place of Kokie Hinokio, fans could see Arkadiusz Kasperkiewicz. Unfortunately, Patryk Makuch beat Bartosz Mrozek in today’s match and the score was 2:1 on the board. Otar Kakabadze recorded an assist on the goal, and Partyk Makuch received a yellow card from the match referee for removing his shirt while celebrating the goal. The final score was 2:1 for Jacek Zielinski’s team.
