On Sunday afternoon we played a meeting as part of the 22nd PKO BP Ekstraklasa round, in which we took on the team of
Górnik Zabrze.
The match ended with a one-goal victory for the visiting team.
After the meeting, we asked our player Mateusz Matras for a comment.
How would you rate this meeting?
I think from the game we were the better team, we didn’t manage to take advantage of two great situations… it’s a shame. The conditions were such that we knew that whoever scored first could gain a lot. It’s also a shame about that unfortunate goal lost.
We later scored a goal for 1:1, but the referees saw a foul there even before the centring. In general, this whole situation with the decision is ridiculous.
What did the referee say to you after his analysis?
He said there was a foul there even before the corner kick was taken, so he had to go back to that situation. He said that the players collided and for him it was an obvious foul.
Tell us a bit more about what assumptions you had before this match and are you satisfied with their implementation?
It’s hard to talk about assumptions because the weather verified it all, we wanted to play the ball from the back and we came out nicely a couple of times. Górnik Zabrze didn’t create many situations for themselves, in the first half maybe one, in the second half they threw a lot into chaos, nothing clear-cut.
The last few underperformance of our team. What is the recipe to finally get a victory next week?
The recipe is simple, we have to be the first to score a goal, then control the match and add a second. This is the most important thing, to enter the match well and score quickly.
