PGE FKS Stal Mielec coach Kamil Kiereś decided that the match in the starting eleven will start: Mrozek, Flis, Matras, Kasperkiewicz, Getinger, Żyra, Wlazło, Hiszpański, Domański, Mak and Ciepiela.
On the substitutes’ bench were: Guca, Hinokio, Kochalski, Lebedyński, Leandro, Sappinen, Vallejo, Wolski and Kruk.
Grzegorz Mokry, the coach of Miedzi Legnica, chose the following players to start the match from the first minute: Abramovich, Gülen, Henriquez, Martinez “Chuca”, Obieta , Drygas, Drachal, Velkovski, Tront, Masouras, Niewulis.
The match squad also included: Lenarcik, Kapino, Matynia, Matuszek, Narsingh, Naveda, Kostka and Kobacki.
The beginning of the match definitely belonged to PGE FKS Stal Mielec. As early as in the fourth minute of the match, Fabian Hiszpański decided to shoot with his left foot from outside the penalty area. The ball after his strike was deflected by the goalkeeper of Miedzi, but none of our players managed to intercept it and a defender of the team from Legnica knocked it out for a corner kick. In the 25th minute of the match, the Miedz team responded when Masouras struck at Bartosz Mrozek’s goal. the 42nd minute of the match saw a corner kick for Stala after which Marcin Flis hit the goal of PKO BP Ekstraklasa’s debutant with his head, but his shot was defended by Miedz’s goalkeeper. In the following minutes, despite greater possession of the ball by Kamil Kieres’ team, the result of the meeting did not change and after the first part of the match we had a goalless draw.
The second half began with no changes to the PGE FKS Stal Mielec line-up, while Miedz’s coach, Grzegorz Mokry, decided to make changes to his team. Drachal left the pitch, and his place was taken by Kobacki. In the 54th minute of the match, Piotr Wlazło struck at Miedz’s goal, but the Miedz goalkeeper managed to deflect the ball into the corner. Just a minute later, Mateusz Matras hit the ball on the goal of the team from Legnica with his head, but his shot was handled by Abramovich. In the 57th minute of the match, Obieta ran with the ball into the Stal penalty area and, with a shot at the near post, tried to surprise Bartosz Mrozek. Mrozek, however, managed to deflect the ball into the corner kick. A few seconds later, Chuca decided to shoot from outside the penalty area and after his precise strike, the ball fell into the goal of Stal. Four minutes after his team lost the goal, the coach decided to make three changes. Ciepiela, Mak and Żyra left the pitch, and in their place on the turf appeared: Lebedyński, Hinokio and Vallejo. Two more changes were made by the coach in the 70th minute, with Wolski and Leandro on the pitch in place of Getinger and Spaniard. The following minutes saw Kamil Kieres’ team attacking to score the equalising goal, but despite several convenient situations, the result of the match remained unchanged. In the 90th minute of the match, Miedz players came out with a counter-attack, which was interrupted by a foul from Alex Vallejo, who received a second yellow card and had to leave the pitch. In the final minute of added time, Leandro dossed into the Legnica team’s penalty area and Mateusz Matras headed the ball into Abramowicz’s goal with his head. Ultimately, the match ended in a 1:1 draw.
