We are continuing the series of meetings with the legends of our club that began in December. Today we host Mr Adam Popowicz at the FKS Stal Mielec shop.

– I am extremely pleased that today, in our shop, we can host another legend of our club – Mr Adam Popowicz. As President of the Management Board of FKS Stal Mielec S.A.
on behalf of the entire club I would like to thank you for accepting the invitation to today’s meeting. Despite the distance separating us on a daily basis, Mr Adam came to us from Austria to meet
with the fans of Stal Mielec, which shows how great the bond between the people of Stal Mielec is. I would like to thank Mr Adam sincerely for his contribution to the history of our club, where he played over 100 matches and won the Polish championship in the 1972/1973 season,” said Jacek Klimek- President of the Management Board of FKS Stal Mielec S.A.

– I would like to thank you very much for inviting me to both today’s meeting and tomorrow’s match against Górnik Zabrze. In the championship season, there were a few matches that stayed in my memory. One such match was the one against Legia Warsaw. Unfortunately, I did not take advantage of a penalty kick then, but I made up for it and at the end of the match I had an assist, after which the winning goal was scored,” said Adam Popowicz.

Jacek Klimek, President of the Management Board of FKS Stal Mielec S.A., and Damian Gąsiewski, Director of Communications and Marketing, presented Mr Adam Popowicz with a replica of his jersey with the number 9, and a commemorative trophy to thank him for his place in the history of our club.
