From the Stala club chronicle – there was a match against Puszcza Niepołomice (part 39)

The history of league encounters between Stala and the team from the Małopolska province is not long and only started in the autumn of 2014 in the second division, when the white-and-blue team succumbed to their opponent 0-2 at their own stadium on 16 August. The next season the Mielec players under coach Janusz Białek started not so well, as they lost two points in a match against Polonia (1-1) in Bytom. In the match ending the second round, however, the players of Stala deserved to take the full point. From the first seconds of the match, they created more goal-scoring opportunities than the visiting team. There was a chance to take the lead already in the first 45 minutes, but our eleven were stymied by the well-disposed goalkeeper Marcin Staniszewski. Already at the beginning of the meeting, he blocked the way to his goal after strikes by Krystian Getinger, then Bartek Nowak. The latter Mielec midfielder tried again before the break and again the goalkeeper from Niepołomice was on top. Łukasz Żegleń, on the other hand, missed by a few centimetres.

After the change of sides, the bag of goals was solved. In the 58th minute, after one of the visitors’ defenders played the ball with his hand, the referee dictated an eleven for our team. Sebastian Łętocha scored the penalty and the scoreboard read 1-0. Twenty-one minutes later, Mielec increased the lead. A quick counter-attack by Nowak, after Getinger had earlier snatched the ball from the visitors, was successfully finished by Andreja Prokić. In the final quarter of an hour, including the added minutes, the visiting players put a lot of fear into the Mielec fans. Already in the 81st minute, Stepankov scored a contact goal for the rival, but fortunately further opportunities were wasted by early substitutes Dawid Sojda and Mateusz Janiec.
