Already in the second minute of the meeting a yellow card was given to a player from Kraków – Daniel Morys. The hosts were the first team to have a good chance to take the lead, but a shot by their player hit the crossbar of the goal. In the 31st minute, Michał Trąbka decided to take a shot, but his strike was handled by Bartusik. The first half of the match ended with the score 0:0. At halftime, PGE FKS Stali Mielec coach Kamil Kiereś decided to make a change. Stępień left the pitch, and his place was taken by Ilya Shkurin.
