PGE FKS Stali Mielec goalkeeper Mateusz Koch alski has received a call-up to the Polish national team.

The selector of the Polish national team, Michał Probierz, has decided that Mateusz Kochalski will join the national team, which on 2 June begins its preparations for the upcoming European Championships.

The training camp begins on Sunday 2 June at the Double Tree Hotel in Skalnicowa Street, Warsaw, and will last until 11 June, when the team will travel directly to their training base in Germany, where they will begin competing for the European Championship.

Fans of our Mielec Steel had to wait 31 years for the moment when a footballer playing for Stal Mielec would receive a call-up to the national team. The last player to do so was Adam Fedoruk.

Mateusz Kochalski was voted the best goalkeeper in the 2023/2024 season during the PKO BP Ekstraklasa Grand Gala.

The Polish national team will begin their matches at the European Championships in Group D. The Red and White will play their first match on 16 June at 3 p.m. against the Netherlands. Five days later, coach Michał Probierz’s players face Austria, and finish their group stage campaign with a match against France on 25 June.
