Dear white and blue family. The following is a statement from the President of the Management Board of FKS Stal Mielec S.A. – Jacek Klimek.

Unfortunately we already know that after 5 years we are leaving a fantastic league – PKO Bank Polski Ekstraklasa. This is a very sad day for the entire white and blue community. We will remember these wonderful moments, the great emotions after the victories and the great honour of being in the elite of great clubs. We have written another 5 years of history in Polish football and we will always be proud of that for a very long time.

I would like to say a big thank you to all the Supporters, Sponsors, City of Mielec Authorities, Footballers, Coaches, Staffs and all who were with us until the end.

Special thanks to Tomasz Poręba, Piotr Andrusiewicz, Krzysztof Kapinos, Waldemar Kawalec, Antoni Topor, Sławomir Gawło, Bartosz Pietras and Marek Pietras – if it wasn’t for them this adventure would have lasted only one season.

A big personal thank you to Damian Gąsiewski, Mateusz Prokopiak, Marcin Gancarczyk, Damian Hydel and Mariusz Mokrzycki – they took care of everything in this club and were always there when needed, without them this mechanism would not function.

I remain at the disposal of the Supervisory Board and believe that relegation is only the beginning of something good. Football is a business where there is no grey either you win or you lose. Winning and success is all that matters, the rest is completely irrelevant. Unfortunately you can’t change the past, but every moment is an opportunity to change the future and that’s what we must all believe in.
