For more than 30 years, reliably every Tuesday, the inhabitants of Mielec and its surroundings reach for a new edition of the Korso Regional Weekly. This newspaper was born out of the passion of Bogdan Rojkowicz, who is the president of the Korso Publishing and Advertising Agency.
As the only weekly newspaper published in the Mielec district, Korso occupies a unique position. It does not limit itself to being a passive observer. The newspaper is an active participant in the life of the community, reflecting its complexity and dynamics as if in a mirror. Articles, reports and columns not only report on events, but also inspire residents to dialogue, reflection and action.
The weekly’s journalists write about issues important to residents – investments, health, local government. They follow and describe sporting events on an ongoing basis, which always stir up emotions. The weekly supports and appreciates cultural and social events. When necessary, Korso also intervenes in matters important to readers.
In addition to the traditional paper edition, the editorial team continually publishes news on the korso.pl portal. There, you will find the latest news from Mielec, the Mielec poviat and the surrounding area – from reports on events, through service announcements to reports, interviews and social articles.
The korso.pl portal is a dynamic information centre – updated daily, available 24 hours a day, on your computer and on your mobile phone. This is where residents look for the latest news, weather forecasts, announcements and previews of local events.
And it doesn’t stop there. Since 1997, the publishing house has been organising the Mielczanin of the Year plebiscite, appreciating the activities of people connected with the town. Since 1992, it has also organised the prestigious Sportsman of the Year plebiscite, where, with the participation of readers, the best athletes who promote Mielec with their achievements are selected.
