As the reason we indicate the necessity for the facility management body – Miejski Ośrodek Sportu i Rekreacji in Mielec – to carry out renovation works until 1 August 2025, which could not be carried out earlier due to the circumstances indicated below.
Due to the planned renovation and modernisation works of the visitors’ sector at the Municipal Stadium in Mielec, FKS Stal Mielec is unable to provide:
– appropriate infrastructural conditions for the reception of visiting supporters in accordance with the PZPN Match Organising Regulations,
– a safe buffer zone and evacuation routes for the visiting sector,
– the required sanitary and welfare standards.
In June, the Grzegorz Lata City Stadium in Mielec, where the football matches were played, was handed over to UEFA in connection with the organisation of the UEFA Women’s Under-19 Championship, to be played from 15-27 June 2025.
Only after the Stadium has been handed over to the Club , the MOSiR will start carrying out renovation works at the Stadium. Within the scope of renovation works, the Municipal Sports and Recreation Centre plans to carry out, among other things, the replacement of damaged chairs with new ones, which will ensure the comfort and safety of spectators, in particular in the sector intended for visitors’ supporters and social facilities in the visitors’ sector.
The planned completion of the renovation is 1 August 2025. Until then, the guest sector will be out of use, making it impossible to organise a match with an organised group of visiting team supporters.
The Wisła Kraków club received the above information on 2 July. The message was forwarded to Mr Grzegorz Halat – Wisła’s Security Director. On 1 July, the letter was also forwarded to the Polish Football Association.
