Mateusz Kochalski joined our team on 21 June 2022. In the white and blue colours of our team he played 38 matches. Being a player of FKS Stal Mielec, he was voted the best goalkeeper of PKO BP Ekstraklasa in the 2023/2024 season.

His high disposition in the team from Mielec also resulted in his appointment to the first national team of Poland. The then selector of the Polish national team – Michał Probierz – decided that Mateusz Kochalski joined the team that went to the European Championships. Mateusz became goalkeeper No. 4 and participated in the training sessions of our national team.

on 15 August, Mateusz Kochalski moved to Qarabağ FK on a definitive, paid transfer. At the time, it was the second highest transfer fee in the history of our club.

The Qarabağ FK team beat the Ferencvárosi TC team in the play-of round and advanced to the UEFA Champions League.
