Presentation of PGE FKS Stal Mielec Academy and Partner Schools

At halftime of Monday’s meeting between PGE FKS Stal Mielec and the Zagłębie Lubin team within the 8th PKO BP Ekstraklasa berth, a presentation of all PGE FKS Stal Mielec Academy groups and our Partner Schools took place.

The event was attended by more than 300 white and blue players from our Academy and more than 200 from the Partner Schools, who are training their skills to represent the colours of the first team in the future. Already, many young players are being given the chance by the PGE FKS Stali Mielec training staff to participate in training with the first team.

ThePGE FKS Stal Mielec Football Academy provides training for children and young people from the age of 4 to 19. The Academy currently trains 350 players in 17 training groups, including 2 girls’ groups. The training staff consists of 17 coaches, plus motor preparation coaches, goalkeeper coaches and physiotherapists. The Marketing Department of the Academy is the responsibility of Ms Katarzyna Syper. We invite you to follow the activities of the Academy on the official social networking profiles on Facebook and Instagram, as well as on the website www.akademia.stalmielec.com
The oldest team of the FKS Stal II Mielec Academy plays in the senior V league. The other groups take part in provincial leagues in their age categories.
The younger age groups regularly take part in national tournaments. In addition to developing their football skills, the players of the Academy often get involved in social activities thanks to the Academy After Training project, including a visit to a cat shelter or a book festival at the town library.

The PGE FKS Stal Mielec Academy trains girls in separate training groups. Currently, 40 girls train at the Academy. The trainers responsible for the training are: Katarzyna Śpiewak, Maria Stopa and Wojciech Soboń. Recruitment for the Academy’s girls’ groups is open all year round.

– The FKS Stal Mielec S.A. club is not only the first team, which is the only one to represent our province in the PKO BP Ekstraklasa, but also our fantastic Academy. It is the PGE FKS Stal Mielec Academy that gives space for young players from Mielec and the surrounding area to develop their football skills. Mielec needs a place where children and young people, under the guidance of qualified staff, can develop their sporting passions and the FKS Stal Mielec S.A. club is such a place. Thanks to cooperation with our Partner Schools, we take care of sports and intellectual education of the next generations. As President of the Management Board of FKS Stal Mielec S.A., I assure all parents and guardians of our white-blue children that every day we make every effort to provide the best possible conditions for their children,” said Jacek Klimek, President of the Management Board of FKS

In June 2023, thanks to an agreement between FKS Stal Mielec S.A. club and two Sports Championship Schools in Mielec, the “Stalowe Szkoły” project was created. Thanks to the cooperation, players of the PGE FKS Stal Mielec Academy have the opportunity to study at the partner schools, which promotes better football development of young players thanks to the increased number of sports classes at the schools. The best players from both schools are given the opportunity to join the training groups of the Stal Mielec Academy, thus creating a strong training environment centred around the only Ekstraklasa club in the Podkarpacie region. The effects of the cooperation can already be seen from the beginning of the current season, where the teams of our Academy are starting to stand out strongly against their opponents.

– I would like to thank everyone, and everyone individually, for their contribution to the development of the PGE FKS Stali Mielec Academy. Thanks to our work, the players of our Academy, every day, can broaden their skills and go on their way towards a great football career. I would also like to thank our Partner Schools for their fantastic cooperation and I believe that soon more young players will make their debut in PKO BP Ekstraklasa – said Marcin Gancarczyk, PGE FKS Stal Mielec Academy Director.
