Śląsk Wrocław – PGE FKS Stal Mielec [0:1]

on 16 February at 20:30 PGE FKS Stal Mielec started the away match against the team of Śląsk Wrocław. The meeting was played as part of the 21st PKO BP Ekstraklasa round.

Coach Kamil Kiereś decided that the match in the starting line-up will start: Kochalski, Pingot, Matras, Esselink, Getinger, Hinokio, Rafa Santos, Jaunzems, Strzałek, Domański and Shkurin.

On the substitutes’ bench are: Jałocha, Ehmann, Stępień, Gerstenstein, Pajnowski, Meriluoto, Wolkowicz, Guillaumier and Wolsztynski.

In the starting eleven of Śląsk Wrocław were: Leszczynski, Bajger, Petkov, Olsen, Exposito, Nahuel, Pokorny, Schwarz, Janasik, Samiec-Talar and Konczykowski.

The matchday squad also included: Trelowski, Klimala, Mustafić, Żukowski, Łukasik, Ince, Rzuchowski, Matsenko and Petrov.

The first dangerous action was carried out by the team of Stali in the 5th minute of the match, when Alvis Jaunzems hit the goal of Slask, but his shot was blocked by a defender of the team from Wroclaw. In the 8th minute of the match, Mateusz Matras received a yellow card for a foul on Exposito. Just a minute later, a fantastic double intervention was shown off by Mateusz Kochalski, saving our team from losing a goal. In the 27th minute of the match, Maciej Domański crossed from a corner kick, Rafa Santos extended the ball towards Shkurin, but Slask’s defenders knocked the ball out. A few moments later, Rafa Santos received a yellow card for a foul on team captain Jacek Magiera. In the 45th minute of the match, a free kick was taken by Krystian Getinger for our team. He made a fantastic pass to Shkurin and the latter beat the Silesia Wrocław goalkeeper and the scoreboard after the first half was 0-1.

The second part of the match PGE FKS Stal Mielec started with the same line-up. One change in his team was made by coach Jacek Magiera. Olsen left the pitch and was replaced by Klimala. In the 53rd minute of the match, Exposito struck at the Stal goal, but the ball after his shot was blocked by Mateusz Kochalski and directed to a corner kick. 3 minutes later, coach Kamil Kieres decided to make a double change. Rafa Santos and Igor Strzałek left the pitch and were replaced on the pitch by Krzysztof Wolkowicz and Matthew Guillaumier. A minute later, Nahuel struck at the Steel goal, but the ball went past Mateusz Kochalski’s goal. In the 60th minute of the match, Slask Wrocław coach Jacek Magiera was shown a yellow card. In the 64th minute of the match, near the penalty area, a free kick was taken by Exposito and only thanks to the fantastic intervention of Mateusz Kochalski, the PGE FKS Stali Mielec team did not lose a goal. In the 77th minute of the match, a corner kick was taken by the team from Wrocław, but the ball was confidently caught by the goalkeeper of our blue-and-white team. The meeting ended in victory for our team.
